ABOUT ME

A Lifetime of Creation

Nature—whether human, abstract, or the raw energy of life—plays a central role in my work. While emotion can be beautiful when fully experienced, I strive to go beyond surface-level aesthetics. My aim is to infuse deep emotion into each piece, rather than rely on immediate, figurative beauty.

My artistic approach is deeply influenced by Chinese brush painting and Japanese calligraphy. Having spent much of my time in Asia, I’ve come to appreciate the expressive power of brush, ink, and water. Each stroke becomes a reflection of mood—fluid, spontaneous, and alive. I bring this sensibility into balance with my Western art training, blending two distinct visual languages into a singular voice.

To make a more visceral impact, I often work in three dimensions or move beyond the traditional canvas. When the materials surprise me—when unexpected emotions emerge through the process—I feel it resonate within, like a “click” deep in the soul.

If you're curious to learn more about my process or practice, I’d love to connect.
